Tortellini Bake
Ingredients:
- 1 pound Italian sausage (sweet or spicy), casing removed
- 1 (20 oz) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
2. In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through. Remove any excess grease.
3. Meanwhile, cook the tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked Italian sausage, cooked tortellini, marinara sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
