Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta
Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta
Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta (linguine, spaghetti, or any preferred type)
- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of Old Bay Season
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Directions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
2. In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, Old Bay Seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes if using. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through.
5. Once the shrimp are cooked, add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with a splash of the reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through, adding more pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
6. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
7. Serve the garlic butter shrimp pasta hot, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Enjoy your quick and delicious dinner!
