Chicken Gyros

 


Chicken Gyros 

Ingredients:

- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pieces store-bought naan bread
- Tzatziki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sliced cucumbers
- Sliced red onions
- Crumbled feta cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the sliced chicken breasts to the bowl and toss until the chicken is evenly coated with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

2. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken slices and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is fully cooked through and slightly charred. Remove from heat and set aside.

3. Warm the naan bread according to package instructions. You can do this in the oven or on a skillet for a few minutes on each side until warm and slightly toasted.

4. Assemble the gyros by spreading a generous amount of tzatziki sauce on each piece of warm naan bread.

5. Place a portion of the cooked chicken on top of the tzatziki sauce.

6. Add sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions on top of the chicken.

7. If desired, sprinkle crumbled feta cheese over the veggies.

8. Garnish with fresh parsley.

9. Fold the naan bread over the filling to form a wrap or roll it up like a burrito.

    Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious chicken gyros!!
