Air Fryer Baked Halibut with Jerk Marinade


Ingredients:

- 2 halibut fillets

- Jerk marinade (recipe below)

- Olive oil

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Lemon wedges for serving

- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)


Jerk Marinade:

- 2 tablespoons soy sauce

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 2 tablespoons brown sugar

- 1 tablespoon lime juice

- 2 teaspoons jerk seasoning

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 teaspoon grated ginger

- Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions:

1. In a bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the jerk marinade until well combined.

2. Place the halibut fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag.

3. Pour the jerk marinade over the halibut, making sure to coat each fillet evenly.

4. Cover the dish or seal the bag and let the halibut marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.

Air Fryer Baked Halibut:

1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.

2. Remove the marinated halibut fillets from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 10 minutes.

3. Lightly brush the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.

4. Season the halibut fillets with salt and pepper to taste.

5. Place the halibut fillets in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.

6. Cook the halibut in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until they are opaque and easily flake with a fork.

7. Carefully remove the halibut from the air fryer and transfer them to serving plates.

8. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the halibut fillets and garnish with fresh herbs, if desired.
