Honey Walnut Shrimp

Honey Walnut Shrimp

Ingredients:

- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Salt to taste
- Optional: sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions:

1. Start by preparing the honey walnuts. In a small saucepan, combine the honey and walnuts. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the walnuts are coated in the honey and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweetened condensed milk, and egg white until well combined.

3. Pat the peeled and deveined shrimp dry with paper towels, then season with salt to taste.

4. Dip each shrimp into the cornstarch, shaking off any excess.

5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).

6. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Be careful not to overcrowd the fryer or skillet.

7. Once cooked, transfer the fried shrimp to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

8. In a large mixing bowl, toss the fried shrimp with the honey walnuts until evenly coated.

9. Serve the honey walnut shrimp hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if
desired.

Enjoy this sweet and savory delight as a delicious appetizer or main dish served over steamed rice!
